I was having a mooch around the workings of my blog and I stumbled across some tools that measured and indicated how people are directed to my blog and was surprised to find that one of the biggest directors of traffic to the blog was the Guardian newspaper! There's a writer/journalist on the paper that writes the cricket blog The Spin and he'd written a review of the Twirlymen book and in it he starts to write about the physics and dynamics of the spinning ball. He then uses some info in my blog here to help illustrate the complexities of the spinning ball and links it to a piece I wrote a couple of years ago about drift and spin where I quote Grimmett. Woolmer and Philpott. I kind of feel validated now!!!
