I've had internet problems all week and been working in London for much of the week getting the end of year photography show off the ground at Freerange, Bricklane so haven't been getting in from work early enough to get the internet sorted. Anyway done now and I'm back on the blog.
Monday the boys went to their training session and Geoff Noble commented that they were doing well with their bowling. I didn't watch the bowling instead watched Ben batting with the bowling machine on the all weather wicket. I even got a go myself and survived! Some promising looking fielding was observed - Anthony Ayres who's only about 10 stopped one of my balls that was travelling at pace - a very good catch off a bounce close in.
I bowled a bit using one of their tennis balls and but that then caused some aggravation to the arm and I stopped. But I reckon it doesn't pay to bowl light balls as I need to rip it more to get them to turn and in doing so I cause potential injury. Today I've been flicking proper balls and bowling a little bit and the arm is holding up alright. I think the elastic support band is helping loads. I cut the practice wicket as well this afternoon having left it for 2 weeks and then bowled 24 balls just to see how I got on. The Leg breaks and Tops spinners were good - the flippers were swinging so much they were going wide but I think that's an atmospheric anomally on that pitch - the swing there is just mental. But 24 balls felt okay and the arms holding out so tomorrow looks as though I'm game on and it looks like it's a home match which'll be good. Again a massive bowling line up of Spin
Neil Samwell - Chinaman
Wayne Simmons - Right Arm Off-spinner - finger spin
Ross Fullbrook - Leg Spinner (2nd best spinner in team behind Neil)
Terry Hills bowls spin as well - not sure what type
Me
It'll be interesting in seeing how Neil picks the bowlers and how he plays them. It's looking promising so far with regards the weather - predicted to be hot and sunny which is good as we've had an intervening week of crappy weather including rain.

I'll go to bed tonight and visualise this so that I do it tomorrow.
